Dear District 19 resident,Anne Pasley-Stuart

Once again I start the legislative session with a sincere thank you for allowing me to work on behalf of District 19. Serving you in the House of Representives is such an honor, and your support and communication encourage me to work even harder on the many challenges facing Idaho.

I am hoping for a productive session in 2008. It is a difficult one for many reasons, but I am hopeful for some positive outcomes.

This session I will be focusing on the following issues:

  • Eliminating the tax on food.
  • Advocating for state employees and retired state employees. Governor Otter's plan for employee benefits is not acceptable.
  • Amending the Idaho Human Rights Act to include sexual orientation, so all Idahoans will have an equal opportunity.
  • Working with teachers to assure a compensation program that allows Idaho to be competitive with the rest of the nation.
  • Making dog fighting a felony.

I will be working on many other bills and issues as well, but to serve you I need to hear from you. Please contact me at apasley-stuart@idaho.house.gov or call me at 322-100.

Thanks again for the wonderful opportunity to serve our district and to make Idaho an even better place to live.

Representative Anne Pasley-Stuart
