This session I will be focusing on the following issues:

Eliminating the sales tax on food.

Advocating for state employees and retired state employees. Governor Otter's plan for employee benefits is not acceptable. At a time when employers are looking for employees and improving salary and benefit packages, the state still remains approximately 15 percent below the salary market and behind in employee benefits.

Amending the Idaho Human Rights Act to include sexual orientation, so all Idahoans will have an equal opportunty.

Working with teachers to assure a compensation program that allows Idaho to be competitive with the rest of the nation.

Making dog fighting a felony.
